I joined my first Barbershop Chorus in 2012 after popping into a church for a cup of tea and some cake and found that a chorus was performing and my wife and I looked at one another and we both thought ‘that this was just ideal for me’.
When the performance had finished a spokesman advised that if anyone was interested in singing then the next evening they would be starting a free 6 week learn to sing course.
I signed up there and then and the rest is history.
Since 2012 I have been fortunate enough of meeting and singing with 100’s of fantastic musicians who, like me, love to sing in four part harmony having memorised the music and words.
I particularly enjoy the challenge of working with fellow chorus members to perfect songs to sing in regional and national competitions and then to perform those songs and others to support good causes.
